Event Description:
In times of grief and uncertainty, how do we find our way? Join Mar Munn, Beyt Tikkun’s Program and Outreach Manager (who is also a mindfulness teacher and bit of an artist) for a special members only event – a gentle, creative practice inspired by Jewish Studio Project’s Art-Making Prompts for Heartbreaking Times. We’ll work with a verse from Psalm 16: “Make known to me the path of life.”
Together, we’ll slow down and use simple art-making as a contemplative practice — not to make something “good,” but to explore what’s stirring inside us and see what might emerge when we give ourselves some space to listen. We’ll reflect on what makes a path feel life-giving, what we’re longing to understand, and what might be calling us forward. There will also be time to share with and hear from others about their creative process and reflections. You don’t have to know where the path leads. Come spend an hour with Beyt Tikkun members exploring it together.
No art experience or special art materials needed.
Items to Bring or Prepare:
Please bring a blank piece of paper, a journal and whatever simple drawing and writing materials you have on hand. You are welcome to download or print Jewish Studio Project’s Art-Making Prompts for Heartbreaking Times Workbook beforehand if you’d like, but this is not necessary.
