High Holiday Service Days & Times

Rosh Hashanah

  • Erev (Evening) – Friday, September 11, 6:00pm-9:30pm
  • Day 1 – Saturday, September 12, 9:30am – 4:00pm; Catered Lunch 1:00pm-2:00pm
  • Day 2 (Mutual Aid Fair and Celebration)– Sunday, September 12, Time TBA (In-person in Oakland only)

Yom Kippur

  • Kol Nidre (Evening) – Sunday, September 20, 6:00pm-9:30pm
  • Yom Kippur + Break-Fast – Monday, September 21, 9:30am – 2:00pm; BREAK 2:00pm-4:00pm; 4:00pm-8:30pm

Online Zoom Location

All ticket-holders should have received an email from zoom with a unique link.

If you are unable to find your link, follow these instructions:
1. Search your email for "The Sacred Practice of Being Here: High Holidays 5787"
2. After searching,  click on an email with the subject "Your receipt from Beyt Tikkun". Inside that email, you will find a zoom registration link.

Parking Information for In-Person Location

Street parking at First Unitarian Church of Oakland is limited. We recommend using public transportation, ride shares, and car pools. If driving, we recommend not leaving anything in your car.

STREET PARKING:

On 14th street, you may be able to find street parking. We recommend looking for parking across the freeway on Brush St, where there may be more availability in the residential neighborhood. There is also unlimited free street parking near Marston Campbell Park, on 16th St. and West St. Marston Campbell Park is about a 6 minute walk away from the church.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:

The church is located a 7 minute walk away from 12th St/Oakland BART.

The church is located 1-2 blocks from many AC transit bus lines including 14, 88, 30, and 22. We recommend using google maps to find the most convenient route via public transit.

Accessibility Information for In-Person Location

Masking Optional: There will be a masking-only section and an outdoor eating space.
Ventilation/Air filters: There will be an air filter and ventilation
Scents: Please arrive scent-free or low scent
Wheelchair accessibility: Fully wheelchair accessible
Seating: Wooden chairs with backs and arms, folding chairs without arms, floor seating
Food: Vegetarian lunch with gluten-free options will be provided on Rosh Hashanah Day 1.  During Rosh Hashanah, we invite you to bring snacks to eat during service.

Please bring a vegetarian dish to share if you are participating in Yom Kippur Break Fast.
