ABOUT

Anti-Zionism Judaism

Growing Judaism Beyond Zionism at Beyt Tikkun means cultivating a Judaism that is spiritually rooted, politically courageous, and grounded in love, justice, and accountability. We affirm that every human being is created b’tzelem Elohim—in the image of the divine—and that no people’s dignity, freedom, or safety can come at the expense of others.

We reject zionism’s violent, settler-colonial project that enforces white Jewish supremacy, systematically displaces Palestinians, enshrines apartheid, and drives the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Zionism is not only a political and nationalist ideology—it is a continuing system of colonization, ethnic cleansing, and structural oppression, fully reinforced by U.S. economic and military power. It is fundamentally incompatible with the core Jewish values of equality, compassion, and care.

We embrace the potential for a radically different future. We are committed to struggles for human survival and emancipation, of which the liberation of the Palestinian people and land is indispensable. We uphold the right of return for Palestinian refugees, oppose Israeli colonization of historic Palestine, and support full Palestinian self-determination. We envision a world where Jewish and Palestinian lives are equally cherished, where the land is honored as sacred by many peoples and traditions, and where liberation, safety, and dignity are shared by all.

Teshuva—repentance, repair, and reparations—are essential to healing, accountability, and moving toward justice in Palestine/Israel and beyond.

To grow Judaism beyond zionism is to expand Judaism itself: to root our community in spirit, music, mindfulness, and solidarity; to build belonging that does not depend on supremacy or exclusion; and to stand in active, principled solidarity with Palestinian liberation and all struggles against oppression. In this way, Beyt Tikkun carries forward a Judaism of truth, love, and courage—one that honors our ancestors, confronts injustice, and works to heal and transform the world.
