Chevruta (Partner Study)

The Beyt Tikkun team will thoughtfully pair conversion cohort participants in study partners, or chevruta. Through questioning and reflection with a partner, participants deepen insight, strengthen critical thinking, and build meaningful connection.

Ritual & Preparation

You will receive support and guidance around the conversion ritual. Please note that mikvah and related ritual elements may involve additional external costs.

Community & Access

In being part of our learning community, you will have priority access with free or discounted registration to Beyt Tikkun guest workshops and special programs.

Past programs have included Talmud and Reparations with Shel Maala & Understanding Anti-Palestinian Racism.
Upcoming guest workshops include: The Path to Ecological Justice Travels Through a Free Palestine with Gopal Dayaneni and Songs and Poetry of Solidarity with Palestine with Ami Goodman.

What is asked of you:

  • Pre-registration 1:1 with Rabbi Cat
  • Regular participation in Beyt Tikkun services and community life
  • Commitment to practicing Shabbat and core Jewish rituals
  • Openness to additional learning, as guided, to support readiness
  • In conversation with Rabbi Cat, you may be encouraged to pursue supplementary learning (e.g. Intro to Judaism courses, Hebrew, or prayer study) alongside this program.

💛 Pricing & Access

We offer three sliding scale tiers so participants can support one another and the broader learning ecosystem. Learn more about how sliding scale works here.

Non-Member Pricing:

  • Subsidize Another’s Learning: $4,000 or more
  • Actual Cost: $3,475
  • Reduced Cost: $2,000

Member Pricing:

  • Subsidize Another’s Learning: $3,600 or more
  • Actual Cost: $2,700
  • Reduced Cost: $ 1,800
Accesible Pricing:

These programs are priced based on the real cost of offering them, including Rabbi Cat’s time, teaching, and ongoing support, along with the behind-the-scenes work needed to hold a year-long learning community with care.

As Beyt Tikkun works to strengthen our financial foundation and move out of a long-standing deficit, tiered pricing allows those with more flexibility to help sustain this work while keeping doors open to others.

If cost feels like a barrier, we encourage you to reach out—we’re glad to be in conversation. Email Program and Outreach Manager, Mar Munn at marissa@beyttikkun.org

Payment Plans:

Payment plans are welcome and are priced at $150-$330/month depending on tier.
To set up a monthly or quarterly payment plan, email lia@beyttikkun.org

🌀 Next Steps

1. If you have not already done so, please fill out an interest form.
2. Schedule a discernment conversation
3. Cohorts are formed with intention; once you have been invited into the cohort, you will be sent a payment link, based on the payment tier and rate that works best for you.
