OUR TEAM
Rabbi Cat Zavis has been senior rabbi of Beyt Tikkun since 2023, guiding the community with prophetic vision and spiritual depth. A feminist, anti-racist scholar and activist, she shapes Jewish rituals and teachings that connect the sacred, the personal, and the political. Under her leadership, Beyt Tikkun has grown in membership, activism, and bold educational initiatives, including embracing Judaism beyond zionism. An accomplished lawyer, social justice activist, and teacher of Prophetic Empathy and Revolutionary Love, Rabbi Cat inspires the community to live justice, love, and spiritual courage every day.

Dr. Ami Goodman
Musical Director
Dr. Ami Goodman, a retired physician in San Francisco, has had a lifelong love of music and the Jewish liturgy. He enjoys giving musical life to the prayers, aiming to enhance their deep meaning and messages via the melody. He has been leading the musical portions of the Beyt Tikkun High Holiday and Shabbat morning services since 2015 and is always honored to join Rabbi Cat Zavis and the Beyt Tikkun community.
He lives with his wife Abby, a poet and physician, in San Francisco, and they have two grown children.

Mar Munn
Program and Outreach Manager
Mar Munn (they/ them) is Beyt Tikkun’s Program and Outreach Manager, where they support community-building, outreach, and the development of programs that integrate spiritual practice with justice work. Mar has over a decade of experience in youth development, nonprofit leadership and program design .
Mar is also a mindfulness and self-compassion teacher, centering their work on healing, connection, and collective liberation. They are an active member of Bay Resistance and loves organizing with their neighbors. Mar enjoys gathering people for meaningful connection, making art, singing to the trees and practicing Reiki. Mar lives in Oakland, CA, on unceded Ohlone land, with their two cats, Buddy and Boo.

Lia Woertendyke
Operations and Social Media Manager
Lia Woertendyke (she/her) is Beyt Tikkun’s Operations and Social Media Manager, supporting the systems and communications that help sustain the organization’s work.
She brings a background in operations and program management across the nonprofit sector, including in youth development and Jewish communal spaces.
Lia is also a coach and mediator, supporting individuals, partners, and groups in navigating conflict and bringing their actions and structures into closer alignment with their values. She is an active member of Jewish Voice for Peace Bay Area and Homecooked Care for Liberation, a Bay Area mutual aid network providing nourishing meals to people engaged in justice work.
