Event Description:
Genocide and Ecocide are two edges of the same sword. This workshop will explore the long relationships between ecological warfare and attempts to destroy and erase Palestine and the Palestinian people through settler-colonial occupation and war. We will also explore the how ecological resilience is a form of resistance; from seed saving to farming cooperatives to fisher-folk in Gaza maintaining their traditional life ways. This timely workshop (when Earth Day, Nakba Remembrance and the establishment of the State of Israel come together) will be informative, interactive and offer opportunities for reflection.
