Join us on May 9 for a warm and welcoming in-person Kabbalat Shabbat and Potluck Oneg. Rooted in a commitment to global liberation and spiritual growth, our gatherings offer a sacred space to connect, reflect, and celebrate Shabbat together. We will be hosting these events every month. Please see the schedule below for future dates. We invite you to come to as many as you’re able!

Date: May 9, 2025
Time: Please arrive by 6:15 PM to settle in. Services begin promptly at 6:30 PM.
Location: Rabbi Cat’s home in Oakland, about 0.5 miles from MacArthur BART Station. Address will be provided once you register.
Potluck: Following services, we’ll share a community meal. Please bring a vegan, gluten-free dish to contribute.

Accessibility:

Masking (K/N95 or equivalent) required.
Please note that Rabbi Cat will not mask, and will test prior to the event.
Masking will be required on alternating months (see schedule below for more details)
Air filter provided. Windows can be opened if requested.
Space is not wheelchair accessible. 4 steps lead into the home and 4 to the backyard.
There are couches, chairs, and floor pillows for seating.
Please try to be scent-free.
A retriever/labrador dog lives in the home but will not be present. A cat has lived there previously.
