Family Shabbat in the Sukkah with JVP Kids

LOCATION: Outdoors in a sukkah in Emeryville. Exact location will be emailed to you after registration

Join Beyt Tikkun & JVP Kids & Families for an outdoor afternoon of song, crafting, and Shabbat ritual in the sukkah!

We’ll decorate the sukkah, learn why we build one, sing songs, and celebrate Shabbat together. This short, interactive Kabbalat Shabbat is especially geared toward families with young folks ages 3–8, though all ages are warmly welcome.

Come make the sukkah beautiful, enjoy Shabbat, and connect with other young families in the Bay Area!

Items to Bring or Prepare: Any supplies to decorate the sukkah

Cost: Free

Accessibility:

  • We will be gathering outside
  • There are 4 steps to enter the house and 4 steps to the backyard. You can enter the backyard through the driveway without any steps.
  • The bathroom is not wheelchair accessible.
  • There are folding chairs, and floor pillows for seating.
  • Please try to be scent-free.
  • No shoes indoors, if possible.
  • A cat and a retriever/labrador dog live in the home.
  • COVID: Masks are optional. Please don’t come if you have any symptoms.
