Date: March 13, 2026
Location: First Unitarian Church of Oakland: 685 14th St, Oakland, CA 94612
Time: 5:15pm- services; 6:30 – vegetarian potluck
Potluck: Following family services, we’ll share a community meal. Please bring a vegetarian dish to contribute.
Join Beyt Tikkun, JVP Kids & Families and Acorn Shabbat for an evening of song, crafting, and Shabbat ritual! We will provide a youth-centered Kabbalat Shabbat, including a sing-a-long, painting the Shabbat candles, and celebrating a sense of “hereness” as part of Diasporism – building community where we are right now, and in this particular movement moment.
This short-but-sweet interactive Kabbalat Shabbat is best geared towards families with young folks aged 3-8. However, all ages are welcome and encouraged to join us in community. Potluck dinner to follow, with an opportunity to meet other young families, and envision the future of youth and family programming in the Bay Area.
