I had the opportunity to attend a Liberation Shabbat service in Melbourne with Rabbi Cat Zavis from Beyt Tikkun in the US. It was emotional and profoundly moving — to be in a Jewish space that didn’t try to ignore or obscure Israel’s genocide of Palestinians, but instead held it honestly and compassionately within our tradition.
