Join us for Sukkot this Saturday, October 19th, at 9:30 a.m. PT. We will meet both on Zoom (link below) and in person in our sukkah. To register to join us on Zoom, register below. To join us in person, please email Austin at austin@beyttikkun.org, and he will provide the address.
What is Sukkot? It is a joyous celebration of the fall harvest and a reminder that we lived in tents in the desert and often in our history have felt a lack of stability. We will have our morning celebration of the universe which will include the Hallel prayers of celebration for the festival, including the shaking of the etrog and lulav, and reading some of Kohelet (Ecclesiastes).
For those joining us in person, we’ll have a vegetarian potluck! Please bring a delicious dish to share. We will provide challah and juice!
We look forward to being together again on Sukkot.
Accessibility Protocols
Services are held at Rabbi Cat’s home, where both a cat and a dog reside (though the dog will not be present during services). Masks are encouraged but optional, depending on your comfort level.
Please note that there are four steps to enter the house. The house is a single story, but there are four steps leading out the backdoor to the backyard. However, access to the backyard, where the sukkah is located, is handicap accessible. Inside the house, there are couches, dining room chairs, and floor seating available, along with pillows for sitting on the floor.
While the backyard is accessible, there are four steps required to enter the house to reach the bathroom, which is not wheelchair accessible. We kindly ask that attendees try to remain scent-free, as Rabbi Cat is sensitive to strong fragrances. She uses only mild, natural cleaning supplies and soaps in the house.
