Dear Belle,
In a time of escalating violence, grief, and overwhelm, sustaining our
movements also means sustaining ourselves and one another. Weekly Action
for Peace is rooted not only in action, but also in the belief that collective care
and resilience are essential to long-term justice work.
We invite you to join Collective Resilience: Mindfulness & SelfCompassion for Activists,
a monthly online space led by Beyt Tikkun team member Mar Munn, for grounding,
reflection, and practice in community.

Weekly Action For Peace
In this week’s Action for Peace, we focus on efforts to:
🗳️ Hold elected officials accountable for votes that enable violence
📰 Defend press freedom and protect journalists
🧊 Stop the expansion of ICE and its detention system
🧠 Deepen understanding of shared systems of oppression
Take Action
🗳️ HOLD SENATORS ACCOUNTABILITY FOR ARMING
VIOLENCE
In April, seven Democratic Senators broke with the majority of their caucus to
continue weapons sales—including bombs and armored bulldozers—to the
Israeli government. These decisions have real consequences on the ground in
Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon.
👉 Tell them you’re disappointed and demand accountability
📰 DEFEND PRESS FREEDOM & PROTECT
JOURNALISTS
In recognition of World Press Freedom Day, take action to defend journalists
facing repression and disappearance.
- Drop Charges Against Journalists in the U.S.
Journalists like Georgia Fort are facing charges simply for doing their jobs.
👉 Take action and call on authorities to immediately withdraw all charges - Demand Justice for Disappeared Palestinian Journalists
Nidal al-Waheidi and Haitham Abdelwahed have been detained without
information about their whereabouts for over two years.
👉 Demand transparency and their release
🧊 DEFUND ICE
Congress is considering another massive funding increase for ICE, expanding
detention, deportation, and surveillance.
👉 Tell Congress: No more funding for ICE
