As students and immigrants across the country face deportation for speaking in support of Palestinian lives and the Trump administration openly declares its intention to ethnically cleanse Gaza, the American Jewish community has a choice: will we comply with Trump’s authoritarian agenda, or will we fight antisemitism by protecting civil liberties for all?
Join us to call for the release of student protestors, including Rumeysa Ozturk and Mahmoud Khalil, to protect free speech, and to ensure the right of all people to live in their homes free from fear. We say clearly that deportations for political speech will not support the fight against antisemitism. Rather, we know that Jewish safety is intertwined with that of all marginalized people, including Palestinians both here and in Israel/Palestine.
Let ALL people stay. Let ALL people be free. Let ALL people live.
Support Education on Palestine in our Schools
Please take two important actions to try and stop two bills in Sacramento that threaten accurate education on Palestine in our Public Schools.
Zionist groups have long used Jewish grief and fear as a cudgel to stifle pro-Palestine speech. Though they claim to care about Jewish safety, these groups are deploying Trump regime tactics to silence criticism of Israel. That makes all of us less safe.
AB 1468: This bill would overhaul how ethnic studies is taught across California high schools, including requiring school districts to submit their ethnic studies curriculum to California’s Department of Education for approval.
SB 472: Introduced by the California Legislative Jewish Caucus would require districts to report their Holocaust and genocide education to the state every year. While genocide education seems like a good thing, zionist organizations are trying to police our schools to prevent teaching about the genocide in Gaza and to further insulate Israel from valid criticism.)
PLEASE take these two important actions now:
Tell the CA Assembly Education Committee to stop AB 1468
Tell the CA Senate Education Committee to stop AB 472

In person in Oakland at Laney College
Register here (access info linked in registration)

If Not Now
Resisting Project Esther: Political Education Workshop
The Trump administration says it is looking out for Jews and fighting antisemitism. But it is deporting foreign students for their political beliefs, and that is fascism, plain and simple. The threat is growing. More student visas have been revoked, including at UC Berkeley and Stanford. This is just the beginning. There is a large-scale plan, called Project Esther, which has been written by the people who brought us Project 2025, to call everyone who criticizes the war in Gaza a terrorist, and to punish them in the name of protecting Jews. Trump is using false accusations of antisemitism to build up Jewish support for his illegal crackdowns.
This event is an opportunity to learn how to recognize and be prepared for the dangerous and skillful attempts to build broader divisions amongst Jews. This is a large-scale agenda using intimidation to twist criticism of Israel into antisemitism. We will promote a counter-conversation that speaks of shared safety.
Sunday, April 27, 6-8pm PT in San Francisco (and virtually via Zoom)
