Beyt Tikkun is a spiritually-rooted, politically-courageous community for Jews, allies, and beloveds opposing Israel’s genocide, ethnic cleansing, apartheid, and Jewish supremacist ideology—whether anti-zionist, non-zionist, or are questioning zionism.
Services will be led by Rabbi Cat Zavis and Musical Director Ami Goodman. Solomon Alber will play flute and Jan Padover will join us on percussions. Our services will include traditional prayers and music with contemporary and politically relevant additions.
💖 You Belong Here
Beyt Tikkun is a synagogue without walls. Whether you’re joining in person in the Bay Area or virtually from across the globe, you’re not a “remote member.” You are us.
We stand in solidarity with Palestinian liberation and all oppressed peoples, rooted in Jewish values of love, truth, courage, and care.
We are a safe haven for people whose views, questions, and grief are not welcomed in mainstream synagogues or Jewish spaces.
🌱 This Year’s Theme: Growing Judaism Beyond Zionism
“What didn’t you do to bury me, but you forgot that I was a seed.”
— Dinos Christianopoulos
We gather in a time of grief, injustice, and suffering.
But we are not here to wither — we are here to grow. Together, we’ll plant and nourish the seeds of:
🌱 Teshuva – Returning to integrity, truth, and collective responsibility
🌱 Tefilla – Prayer that holds grief, rage, awe, and courage
🌱 Tzedakah – Just action that disrupts violence and nurtures justice and repair
🕊️ What to Expect
📣 Several guest speakers including meital yaniv, Israeli anti-zionist organizer, author of Bloodlines, and ex-IDF soldier (Rosh Hashanah Day 1) & Sara Kershnar of International Jewish Antizionist Network (Yom Kippur)
