Listening and Grieving Circle Post Event

In a world lacking in visionary leadership, it is up to the people ourselves to come forward to assert a vision of hope and healing. By mourning in common for our common dead, we aspire, in these terrifying times, to lay a deep, shared foundation for a lasting peace.

On Sunday May 19th, 4:30-6:00pm PST (5:30 MT, 6:30 CT, 7:30 ET) Beyt Tikkun/NSP in conjunction with the Foundation for Ethics and Meaning (FEM) hosted an intimate listening and grieving circle. We created this event in conjunction with the American Friends of Combatants for Peace events to commemorate both Israeli Memorial Day and the Palestinian Nakba Day (of which we are co-sponsors). You can still watch their events here.

In our gathering we held space to feel into and share emotions that we have experienced throughout this extraordinarily painful and challenging period. We yearn with all our hearts to seek a new and deeper capacity to love the “stranger” for until we are able to recognize each other’s humanity, we will remain strangers in this harsh world.

If you missed the event, you can still download a recording. If you are able to donate at one of the levels below, we’d be most grateful. All monies raised are shared between Beyt Tikkun and Standing Together, an organization advocating for a joint society for all peoples from the river to the sea and help ensure we can continue to offer events such as this. No one is turned away for lack of funds.
