We will be gathering again this Shabbat, Saturday, October 7th to celebrate Shemini Atzeret, Simchat Torah, and Shabbat! Shemini Atzeret literally means stopping on the eighth day. It is another respite or break. Simchat Torah is a joyous celebration of the conclusion and restarting of the annual Torah cycle. We will read the last parsha of Deuteronomy and the first parsha of Genesis/Bereshit–The Story of Creation.
We hope you will join Rabbi Cat Zavis, Rabbi Michael Lerner, and Dr. Ami Goodman for a joyous celebration of the universe and Torah study. We begin at 9:30am PT.
