Bonus Shabbat service and Torah Study! We invite you to join our Celebration of the Universe and Torah Study on tomorrow, Saturday, July 2th with Rabbi Michael Lerner and Rabbi Cat Zavis.
This week’s parsha, Vaetchanan, is just too good to miss! (And we can’t be with you next week, the first Shabbat of the month, as we usually are, because Rabbi Cat will be celebrating her son’s wedding!)
We’re in the book of Devarim/Deuteronomy – Moses’ recounting of the past 40 years! God tells Moses “rav lach” – you are enough or enough already! Moses repeats the ten speech acts (aka, commandments) to remind the people of their commitment to God. And more.
We’ll read this rich parsha and then read and discuss (among other things!) Rabbi Cat’s re-interpretation of the ten speech acts.
