Rooted in the belief that the Divine stands with the oppressed\, liberation theology reads sacred texts through the lens of those most marginalized and encourages us move from contemplation to courageous action. \nParticipants will examine the historical development of liberation theology\, its core concepts—including structural sin\, solidarity\, and prophetic witness and rebuke—and its contemporary expressions through writers and in movements for racial\, economic\, climate\, and social justice.
